Charities We Support
Bryan's fire firefighters don't work in a vacuum, and we aren't insulated from the community. Our partnership with the city's residents and businesses is something we cherish deeply as we continue to be an active part of the community we're honored to serve. We're proud to work with the Muscular Dystrophy Association the further its mission of transforming the lives of people living with muscular dystrophy, ALS, and related neuromuscular diseases, through research, care, and advocacy.
9th Annual Lt. Greg Pickard BFFA Memorial Golf Tournament
We're also proud to support the Helping Heroes Burn Foundation, which exists to provide financial assistance to firefighters seriously burned in the line of duty, to families of firefighters killed in the line of duty, and to promote skin organ donor registration through partnership with existing donor organizations. The foundation was started after two Bryan lieutenants were killed in the line of duty and two firefighters were severely injured. After witnessing our own firefighters and their families struggle with the burden of receiving prolonged medical treatment at an out-of-town burn hospital, we saw a need and decided to form the foundation. The Lt. Greg Pickard Memorial Golf Tournament is held annually to support the foundation.
